Child & Adolescent Therapy
Does your child struggle with the following challenges?
- • Behavioral problems, such as anger management, grief and loss, divorce, school stress, abandonment, or trauma
- • Behavioral disorders, such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD), autism, social and emotional development, or conduct disorders
Our skilled therapists can help you and your child achieve optimal growth. You can learn healthy communication skills to help you and your child communicate calmly.
There are different modalities (Play Therapy, traditional talk therapy etc.) to help children and adolescents meet their goals, depending on their needs and communication preferences.
Play Therapy involves the use of specific toys and games to help children reach their goals. Children naturally engage in play to create meaning and organize life experiences. This enables children to distance themselves from difficult feelings or memories through symbolic expression, using the toys as the medium to express these feelings.
Additionally, talk therapy (i.e., psychotherapy) can address a wide range of problems and challenges through discussion. Our trained therapists provide a safe space for your child or teen to discuss their feelings and learn new strategies for dealing with stress.
